Just a quick note to say thank you to all who participated and helped at Round 2 of the IFKKA Interclub Championships. It was a great day and our first ever IFKKA Individual & Teams Kata Tournament held in Australia. Well done to all of the students from KKC Karate who entered and to all students from the IFKKA we had 72 competitors in all. Everyone worked really hard and you could see that in the katas demonstrated

Keagan & Kyle Tran recently entered the Australian Martial Arts Championships held at Ann Clarke Netball Stadium Lidcombe the boys performed very well on the day. Kyle entered in the Pee Wees 7 years and under division and his results were; 4th in Kata, 3rd Freestyle Sparring and 2nd in sword combat. Keagan entered in the 8 – 10 yrs Beginners – Intermediate and his results were – 3rd in Kata, and 2nd in point sparring.

What a great day was had by all at the recent IFKKA Championships, we were treated to some great demonstrations of points and full contact sparring with some bouts being very close. You should all be proud of yourselves; I always enjoy watching & refereeing the students, seeing how much you have improved. Congratulations to all who entered the tournament whether you placed or not, the aim is to do your best and practise what you learn in the dojo and have fun. Well done!
