Round 1 what a great day with 72 students entered from the four Sydney IFKKA Dojo for Clicker Kumite teams and individual tournament, KKC Karate accounted for 30 of these entries (see pictured). This was the first time we have had a clicker kumite teams event and it proved to be very popular. There was some exciting bouts and great results, be sure to check the photo’s in the photo gallery click here.
Well done to everyone who entered and thank you to all who assisted on the day, results listed below. Can’t wait for round 2 on Sunday 30th June 2013, this will be Kata individual and teams, another first for the IFKKA.
We started off at 7.30am with loads of enthusiasm (see picture below of the first shift) with a target of 1,000 sausages to sell and plenty of soft drinks to wash that down with. Fingers crossed that we would get a good day as we had been having awful weather and a terrible storm the night prior.
In the end we managed approx 850 sausages, not a bad effort and raising $1,500, for the IFKKA. This was down on our last effort, but still a great outcome.
Thank you to the people who volunteered their time on the day and those of you who lent us Esky’s etc. It was a great effort and without you we would not have been able to put this together.
Kinder Karate Club has started back for 2013, old and new students full of enthusiam and rearing to go for the new year, pictured below.
