The 11th IFKKA Australian Open Championships Sunday 19th May, this is our association’s premier event for the year. This year it will be sparring Sanbon Shobu (Points Sparring) for all and Knockdown Full Contact for adults. There will be two point sparring events one individual which will be an elimination event and the other teams which will be a round robin event. Who will be this year’s Australian Champions? You can still submit your entry up to Thursday 16th May at the dojo after this date no entries can be accepted. Click here to download your entry form. If you can help with the running of the tournament it will be greatly appreciate we need volunteers for the set up on Saturday night from 8pm, on the day working tables and the pack up. Please let me know if you can assist in any way. For parents/partners assisting on the tables on the day, they will get free entry into watch the tournament. |

Junior Grading the next junior grading will be held on Sunday 2nd June 2013 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Tempe dojo, please talk to me at the dojo if you think you may be eligible. |

Drummoyne Public School Fete we have once again been asked to perform a karate demonstration at the Drummoyne Public School Fete to be held on Sunday 25th August. All students are eligible to participate from kinder karate, kid’s karate and adults too. Make sure you put Sunday 25th August in your diary. More details to follow. |

IFKKA Interclub Tournament Round 3 date change, it will now be held on Sunday 15th September at Tempe Dojo. This event is Clicker Kumite Teams & Individuals. |

4th World IFK Kata Championships March 2014 preparation & selections commenced last Sunday 5th May for our team to attend the 4th World IFK Kata Championships in Belgium next year. We will be holding some fundraising events in the coming months to assist the team in attending this event. If you are great at fundraising or can help us in any way eg with a donation &/or sponsorship all assistance is welcome. |

The Annual IFKKA Camp at Heathcote scout camp was a great success. We had a great time learning new techniques training with other karateka and best of all the weather was fabulous be sure to check out the photos in the web gallery click here. |
