Osu Karate-ka, Kohai & Families, Not long now, school holidays and Easter will be upon us, I will have to try my hand at cooking hot cross buns again this year, last year they were massive more like loaves of bread not buns! We have had a busy time in March with my trip to Belgium for the IFK Kata world championships which was amazing, truly inspirational. Not long now and we will have our international guest here Shihan David Pickthall, can’t wait for the seminars and the camp it will be great training with him. |

4th IFK World Kata Championships Belgium We had a great time in Belgium at the IFK World Kata Championships this was the first time the IFKKA had sent a team to this event. Thank you to Shihan Doug Turnbull and Sensei Shah Yussof in helping prepare the team and a special thank you to Shihan Janine Davies from Wales click here for more details. |

Junior & Cadet training next session will be on Monday 14th & Tuesday 15th April this is a not to be missed event as we have Shihan David Pickthall here from England conducting these sessions, even if you won’t be going to Israel this is a great opportunity for all cadets & juniors to improve their sparring skills, more details later in this newsletter. |

All Australian Karate Championships Kempo Ryu & Sydney Junior Games was held on Sunday 30th March, KKC Karate had 4 students competing on the day well done click here for full details. |

Kinder Karate This Saturday 5th April is the last class for term 1 for Kinder Karate Club, classes will resume on Saturday 3rd May 9.15 to 9.45am be sure to book your place. |

IFK Kyokushin Seminar all Karateka are invited to attend a seminar with Shihan David Pickthall from the UK. Shihan David will be running 2 sessions to be held at Tempe Dojo on Thursday 10th April. For KKC juniors whether this is your scheduled training class or not you are encouraged to attend as you will not get this opportunity again soon. 5.45 to 6.45pm: Kids 12 years and under – no charge and 7 to 9pm: Teenagers & Adults – IFKKA Students $10. Non IFKKA students $30. |

DONT MISS OUT on School Holiday Karate Seminars at Petersham Dojo – To assist with the preparation of the junior 15years and under and cadet 16 & 17years students, for the World Cadet & Junior Tournament Championships to be held in Israel March 2015. We will be holding 2 training sessions during the April School holidays. Cost $10 per person per day. Monday 14th April 10am to 3pm – Clicker Kumite Session for Juniors and interested adult students to attend. BYO Lunch, refreshments enthusiasm and all necessary equipment. This session is open to all juniors. Tuesday 15th April 10am to 3pm – Knockdown Contact Kumite for students 10years and older. BYO Lunch, refreshments, enthusiasm and all necessary equipment. |

Russel Lea Infants School Fete Saturday 10th May We have been invited once again to do a karate demonstration at Russell Lea Infants’ School Fete, this is open to all students from Kinder through to Adults to attend. Demonstrations are always good fun to do more details to follow soon. |
