Osu Karateka and Families,
I am not sure what has been happening but gee this year is flying by, I can’t believe it is June already and officially winter! We have had a busy time in the karate world as I am sure you have had a busy time in your world.
This is supposed to be the April – May edition of the KKC News, my intention is to get back on track now with the monthly KKC E-news (fingers crossed!).
Just to confirm the next KKC Karate Fight night will be on Tuesday 14th June not Tuesday 7th as I have told a couple of people, sorry about that. So hope to see you at fight night on Tuesday 14th June 7 to 8pm.

IFK 3rd Black Belt Camp Arnhem The Netherlands Wednesday 27th April to Sunday 1st May 2016: All I can say is, I was in karate heaven for 5 days. The opportunity to train with Hanshi Steve Arniel and 175 black belts from around the world is something that doesn’t happen every day. The next IFK Black Belt camp is scheduled for 2020. So maybe this is something you can work towards. Click here for more info.

- Sensei Mark Mitchell Contact training session: you would have already received emails from the IFKKA regarding the training sessions with Sensei Mark Mitchell in June and July. These sessions will have a Full Contact focus but are not limited only to those who want to compete in full contact tournaments. They will also be suitable for students who want to improve their fighting skills. The first training session will be on Sunday 19th June 10am to 2.30pm, for more information click here. This is a great opportunity to work with a very talented Karateka.
- KKC Karate Fight Night is on Tuesday 14th June 7 to 8pm. The idea for this class is to focus on fighting only and to offer a vehicle where the juniors from 9 years of age and older, can mix with the adults and develop their fighting skills. If you are not sure if this is suitable for your child please talk to me at the dojo. As this is an extra class over and above the class schedule it will cost $10 per session paid on the night. However, for students 2nd kyu and higher there will be no charge to attend this class.
For all fight night dates go to the “Karate Class Time” on the website or click here
- KKC Karate Junior Grading: Next junior grading (for students attempting grades up to and including 5th Kyu – senior yellow) is scheduled for Monday 1st August 2016, after that it will be on Monday 5th December. If you are intending to grade please talk to me at the dojo to see if your preparation is on track.
