Osu Karateka and Families, It is nearly school holidays again and the winter solstice has passed and before we know it we will be heading into spring and that fabulous Sydney warm weather. We have a lot of event coming up for the 2^nd half of the year so be sure to check events and important dates listed below.

Club News
Junior Grading Results Sunday 13^th June KKC Karate had 15 students sit for grades from 10^th to 5^th Kyu, for results and photos click here. OSU! And well done to you all. The next junior grading will be on Saturday 5^th September, start preparing now if you want to be considered for grading.

June – July School Holidays Class Timetable Kids Karate Club last classes for term 2 will be on Saturday 27th June and we return on Monday 13th July, for term dates please check the class times on the website, click here. Kyokushin Karate Club for teenagers and Adults will continue during school holidays on Monday and Thursday 7 to 9pm. Fitness and Fighting Class Saturday 11.30am to 1.30pm will continue during the school holidays.

Kinder Karate Club the last class for term 2 will be on Saturday 27^th June 2015. We have had a lot of fun with this class as it is a great introduction to karate for the younger student’s ages 3 to 5 years. Kinder Classes for term 3 will commence on Saturday 18^th July 9.15 to 9.45am, be sure to book your place by Friday 3^rd July as numbers for the class are limited to 10 students.

Shinkyokushin 2015 Sydney Kyokushin Karate Tournament Sunday 19th July Click here to download and entry form. Entries close on Friday the 3rd of July but as we will be on holidays you must submit your entries to me by Saturday 27th June IFKKA Tournament Series Sunday 2nd August – Individual & Teams Clicker Kumite – Click here for entry form. Venue Tempe Dojo – Check in 8.45am – Start 9am. Shinkyokushin National Championships 2015 Sunday 30th August click here to download an entry form IFKKA Tournament Sunday 6th September – Individual Knockdown Kumite – this event is open to students from 11 years and up and must have Instructor approval Click here for entry form. Venue Tempe Dojo – Check in 9.30am – Start 10am The 12th IFKKA ANNUAL AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS Sunday 25th October – This is our association’s premier event covering Kata teams and individual, Clicker Teams and Individual and Full Contact Knockdown Kumite. Drummoyne Municipality Senior Citizens Club as you are aware we run all of our classes from their venue, but they need our help. As they are looking for new senior citizens to join their ranks, if you are 55 years or over you can join. They have a lunch and get together every week and often go on excursions. If you live locally and you know of anyone who this might benefit please talk to me at the dojo.
