Osu Karateka and Families, We are now passed the half way point of the year and before we know it Christmas will be upon us! We still have loads of events scheduled for this year, so be sure to put them in your diary. The next will be the kata tournament on Sunday 27th August, I hope to see you all there. So get your entries in as we need to finalise the kata teams. |

KKC Karate Junior Grading was held on Monday 26th June. Well done to all who attended you did a great job be sure to check the photos in the web gallery click here. The junior grading is for those students attempting grades up to and including 5th kyu (yellow belt black tip). The next scheduled junior grading will be on Monday 18th September 2017. |

Fighting Fit with Sensei Mark Mitchell we had another great training session with Sensei Mark, he always manages to put so much into the sessions. Even if you don’t want to be a contact fighter his sessions are a great karate boot camp type of training. Click here to check out more info, I can’t wait for the next one. |

Kata tournament Individual and Teams Sunday 27th August whilst this may seem to be a long way off, preparation for a kata tournament takes time especially for team kata. Be sure to start working on your kata for teams and individual now. Book online now with Trybooking click here or download an entry form here. IFKKA Senior Grading The next senior grading for students attempting grades 4th Kyu and above will be held on Sunday 10th September 2017. Talk to me at the dojo if your intention is attempt a senior grade as we need to be sure your training is on track. 14th IFKKA Open Karate Championships Sunday 12th November – “Sparring Spectacular” Points Sparring, Clicker Kumite Individuals and Teams and Individual Full Contact Kyokushin Rules. Be sure to put this date in your diary, it is a great event. We had great representation and results last year and hope this will continue this year. Entry form will be available soon IFKKA Annual Karate Christmas Party Saturday 25th November – details to follow. 2018 IFKKA Summer Camp dates confirmed 19th to 21st January 2018 with Shihan David Pickthall.
