Spring is now upon us and the September school holiday are just around the corner, where is the year going, not long now till summer is here. I can’t wait.
Due to the Junior grading being held on Saturday 5th September the 11.30am to 1.30pm Fitness and fighting class will not be held.

Drummoyne Public School Fete –Thank you to all of the KKC Karate Students who participated in the demonstration at Drummoyne Public School Fete. Click here more info and photo’s; Also thank you once again to Sensei Shah Yussof for being MC for us, it was good fun and the gelato or snow cones after was a real treat. OSU!

September School Holidays Class Timetable – Click here to download a flyer
- Kids Karate Club class timetable. We will break for school holidays with the last classes for term 3 will be on Saturday 19th September and we return on Tuesday 6th October (as Monday 5th is a public holiday), For future term dates please check the class times on the website, click here.
- Kyokushin Karate Club for teenagers and Adults will continue during school holidays on Monday and Thursday 7 to 9pm.
- Fitness and Fighting Class will continue during the school holidays.

Kinder Karate Club the last class for term 3 will be on Saturday 12th September 2015. We have had a lot of fun with this class as it is a great introduction to karate for the younger student’s ages 3 to 5 years. Kinder Classes for term 4 will commence on Saturday 10th October 9.15 to 9.45am, be sure to book your place by Friday 25th September as numbers for the class are limited to 10 students.

- Junior Grading Next junior grading will be held on Saturday 5th September for those attempting graded up to and including 5th kyu. If you think you may be eligible to attend this grading please talk to me at the dojo. If you miss this grading, the last junior grading for the year will be on Saturday 5th December.
- IFKKA Tournament Sunday 6th September – Individual Full Contact Knockdown Kumite – this event is open to students 11 years and up, but must have Instructor approval Click here for details. Venue Tempe Dojo – Check in 9.30am – Start 10am. if you haven’t entered be sure to come along and support your fellow karateka (Students).
- IFKKA Senior Grading the next Senior grading for students attempting grades 4th Kyu and above will be held on Sunday 20th September at Kuro Obi Dojo. If you think you are eligible to attend this grading please see me at the dojo so we can discuss your preparation.
- The 12th IFKKA ANNUAL AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS Sunday 25th October – This is our association’s premier event covering Kata teams and individual, Clicker Teams and Individual and Full Contact Knockdown Kumite. Entry forms available here. Don’t miss this event. Be sure to start putting your Kata teams together and practise.
- Oyama Championships Sunday 8th November to download an entry form Click here. Be sure to support this event, it promises to be great.
- IFKKA Annual Karate Christmas Party Saturday 21st November. Be sure to put this date in your diary details to follow soon.
- Junior Grading the last junior grading will be held on Saturday 5th December for those attempting graded up to and including 5th kyu. If you think you may be eligible to attend this grading please talk to me at the dojo. Do not leave it to the last minute.
- 2016 Annual IFKKA Karate Camp January will once again be a town camp same as the one held this year. It will be held at Tempe Dojo on Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th January 2016. Be sure to put these dates in your diary. Once again Shihan David Pickthall will be attending this event. Rumour has it there will be a beach session again. BE SURE TO PUT THESE DATES IN YOUR DAIRY. Details to follow soon.
