4th IFK World Junior & Cadet Tournament 2015 Israel The IFKKA has been advised that in 2015 (month still to be confirmed) there will be a 4th IFK World Junior & Cadet Tournament in Israel. This is a fabulous opportunity for our junior students to be part of the training squad and ultimately the team. In 2011 we sent 4 students to this event; it would be good if we could manage a full team this time. We are still waiting on details from IFK headquarters, but based on the previous world junior and cadet tournaments there is usually a junior boys (5 competitors plus 1 reserve) and junior girls team (3 competitors plus 1 reserve) all aged from 10 to 15 years and holding a grade of 8th kyu or higher. Cadets 16 & 17yrs Kyokushin Rules (knockdown) minimum grade usually 6th Kyu male & female, usually 3 weight divisions for the males and 2 weight divisions for the female. As I get more information I will keep you updated, but this will be a fabulous opportunity for our students, so start saving your pennies. |
