KINDER KIDS (3-5)

Classes for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Kinder Karate has an emphasis on movement, balance, coordination and fun whilst helping to develop children’s confidence, concentration, focus and teaching Karate techniques based on Kyokushin Karate.

All classes are held in a safe, happy and encouraging environment, with an emphasis on teaching children the importance of treating others with respect & courtesy.

Kinder Karate Club classes only run during the school term.

Class duration is 30 minutes and class sizes are limited.

A parent or a guardian is required to accompany all children.

KIDS 6-12

 

Classes for children aged 6 to 8 years and 9 to 12 years.

We offer a personalized training format with a limited class size.
Students must be booked in to ensure the correct student-to-instructor ratio is maintained.

Kids Karate Club teaches students the karate techniques of the IFKKA Syllabus.
Classes are well structured and are run in a safe and friendly environment.

TEENAGERS AND ADULTS

Kyokushin Karate Club is for Teenagers and Adults from beginners to black belts.

BENEFITS

Karate is for everyone regardless of age, gender or ability.
It is a multi disciplined activity as within karate you have many disciplines comprising formal moves known as kihon, set combinations known as renraku and formal patterns / sequences of movements known as kata, self defence and application of techniques known as bunkai and / or goshin jutsu.

Kumite / sparring is varied and includes; point sparring, freestyle sparring, clicker kumite, jiyu kumite (free fighting) and knockdown sparring (adults and teenagers over 16 years). Together with strengthening and general fitness exercises comprising of circuits, skipping, bag, shield and focus mitt work to develop core strength and stamina.

KKC Karate encourages positive thinking and doing one’s best with an emphasis on teaching all students the importance of treating others with respect and courtesy regardless of ability, grade, gender or age.

Students find the classes very rewarding as the classes are designed to challenge the participant and bring out the best in them. Physical activity is important in the development of general health, wellbeing and forms part of a healthy lifestyle

Grading

The Kinder Karate Club has its own grading program based on attendance and participation.

Once children demonstrate they have the required concentration and skill level they will be
encouraged to move into Kids Karate Club when they are 5 to 6 years of age, depending on maturity.
